What a day for pranks and being duped! All hopefully in good fun though?
Yet, let's take a quick moment to ask ourselves how foolish OR how brilliant it is to look at "the cross" for any real meaning, purpose or hope. Why do some cling to the "ol' rugged cross" while others shudder away from it?
For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and I will thwart the cleverness of the intelligent."... Where is the debater of this age? Has God not made the wisdom of the world foolish? 1 Corinthians 1:18-20 #NET

Isn't it fascinating how this man Jesus continues to baffle the minds of all humanity, throughout all of history? There is simply nobody like him who has ever existed.
Some wander away in disgust from a cross they believe to be unnecessary. Others wonder in amazement why a God would even care enough to die for their sin and for an eternity of relationship.
Either way, what is truly personal and perfect... Is that a real Jesus did really die for the reality of our sins. Skeptics and cynics have tried their best to discount that fact to no avail.
Christ still reigns in the hearts of billions. There's no undoing it. It would be a fools errand to try.
